Introducing Ava Louise Bridal Wear

We recently caught up with Imogen Taylor, the lady behind Southampton's newest bridal boutique, Ava Louise Bridal Wear, and quizzed her on why she started her business, where her inspiration comes from and her tips for brides-to-be. Over to you Imogen...

Following my own wedding nearly two years ago, I have always wanted to run my own bridal shop and offer customers an experience to remember. To me it is about the journey from the marriage proposal to that magical day when you walk down the aisle. The dress is such a huge part of this whole wonderful experience and from the first appointment to the day you pick up your beautiful wedding dress I want there to be nothing but happy and lasting memories for my brides.

Where is the last place you visited or travelled to and found really inspiring?
When travelling a few years ago, I came across many amazing places, one of which was Fiji. I found their country so intriguing and staying there made me realise a simpler way of life! A place where I shared great memories with friends and where internet was unheard of! See my pic below! :)

What was the last exciting purchase you made for your business?
The 2016 San Patrick collection! Lots of new styles coming to the shop this August/September which we are very excited about!

Tell us about another business that really inspires you?
My whole family have run and owned their own business', they have built their companies from the ground up and I intend on following in their footsteps. There are no greater role models to me than my family members.

What would be your top 3 words of wisdom for brides-to-be?
Enjoy the experience, relax don't stress, and go with your heart.

Ava Louise Bridal Wear will be hosting our sample sale at East Horton on the 17th May, with designers including San Patrick, MiaMia Bridal, Jenny Packham, Pronovias, Ugo Zaldi, Cymbeline and bridesmaids dresses by Linzi Jay.

  1. Before my wedding I asked many last minute questions from the manager, and his answer was always: "we have that covered" or "no problem". It was extremely comforting. I am so thankful to the manager and staff at wedding location venue for all of their efforts on our behalf.
